This National Park and Game
Reserve lies along the border to Tanzania.
The 3,810 sq km (1,259 sq miles) consist
of wildlife habitats and relatively dry bed of Lake
Amboseli.
Main feature of this leg of our
tour seemed to be Mt. Kilimanjaro,
which is the highest mountain in Africa soaring to
5,894m or 18,340 ft. Nonetheless we saw
some animals and birds on the way in and out of the Camp
Lodge.
Our Tanzanian driver claimed it is
better to view the mountain from Tanzania
side. But the Kenyan driver told us
Tanzanian stole the mountain from Kenya
long time ago. Here and there we heard
the conflict among them.
