On the Bosphorus:

On the last day in Istanbul, despite heavy overcast, we decided to take a boat trip up to the Black Sea. It is about 6 hour trip including an hour and a half break at Anadolu Kavagi for tourism at the fortress up the hill and for a quick snack. In summer months these boats are fully loaded, since it was already October we had a freedom to move around on board as the scenery changes from right bank to left or up and down the stream. Most of beautiful palaces were built after 17C and recently renovated or still under ongoing renovation. We had a treat of delicious yogurt from Kanlica and had a meal of fried fish at Anadolu Kavagi where it's known for seafood. And we climbed up to the fortress and saw the Black Sea.
