Once a modest farming town now its main industry is tourism. We stayed here for four days to explore other nearby Greek ruins. The Temple of Artemis, which is gone except for the foundation and one rebuilt column, was one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The town is a picturesque-laid back destination for many Europeans. They are buying up the town very quickly.
