Goodbye Ceremony:

It is always hard to say goodbye. The students again sang us this time Goodbye Song. After that we danced to some Kenyan pop music.

Many members knitted friendship bracelets with materials provided by Fran during evening meetings. A few days before our leave we tied those to the students’ wrists. Teachers and some construction workers received them too.

To avoid more complication of cooking and doing dishes at the hotel and also for a change we went to the Little Home restaurant. The owner whom we met a fortnight ago welcomed us warmly. Since it was a weekend night and the place seemed like a local favorite, the service was pretty slow. I ordered fish and chips for a change (right!).
