Rani Sati Mandir:

The temple receives thousands of pilgrims each year as the center of a phenomenally popular Sati Mata cult. Sati is the ritual where women commit suicide at the pyres of their husbands. Although banned by the British in 1829, the practice has survived, as recent as in 1987 in the village of Deorala a beautiful eighteen-year-old Rajput girl committed self-immolation.

The temple is not visited by many foreign tourists, but its interior with many paintings of saints and other religious scenes was pretty impressive.

When we were there, a wedding ceremony was being prepared.
